Szymon Duniec

Managing Director, QPMR

Szymon has been the Managing Director of ORIMA Research since May 2000. Prior to this, he was a senior economic adviser in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Previously, Szymon held a range of positions involving economic and social research, analysis and policy advising in the Australian Government Departments of the Prime Minister and Cabinet; Treasury; Industry, Science and Resources; and Health.

Szymon specialises in:

  • program evaluations and reviews; and
  • quantitative market and social research, including communications tracking and evaluation studies, client surveys, community surveys and employee surveys.

Liz Duniec

Director, QPMR

ORIMA Research was established by Liz in Canberra in 1997 with the aim of being a provider of innovative and high quality research consultancy services.

Prior to this, she was a Principal of Interaction Consulting Group for three years. Before that, Liz was a consultant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers and Lybrand's Human Resources and Strategic Management Group) in Canberra for over four years.

Liz is trained as an organisational psychologist, with extensive experience in market and social research methods. Liz specialises in:

  • communications research, including:
    • research to help identify policy awareness and understanding;
    • developmental research to help inform communications strategy formulation;
    • qualitative and quantitative research to support communication campaign development, refinement and evaluation;
    • creative testing;
    • branding and positioning research;
    • information product testing; and
    • usability and effectiveness testing of forms and websites.
  • research to inform public policy development, including identifying individual and group behaviour and attitudes, motivators and barriers to action; and
  • program evaluation for public sector clients.

Rodney Latimer

Director, QPMR

Rodney Latimer is a Director of ORIMA Research. He joined ORIMA in October 1997, after working in South East Asia as a Senior Research Executive with Market Behaviour Limited (MBL), which is part of the NFO (National Family Opinion) World Wide Network based in the USA.

Rodney has extensive experience in commercial marketing research and public sector research.

Rodney specialises in:

  • commercial marketing research;
  • government-to-business research;
  • client/ stakeholder research;
  • community surveys; and
  • employee surveys.

Andrew Lenihan

Partner, QPMR

Andrew joined ORIMA Research in August 1999 after spending several years as an economic adviser in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and in the former Commonwealth Department of Employment, Education and Training.

Andrew has strong skills in quantitative and statistical analysis and specialises in their application to client and employee research and program evaluations for the public sector. He also has considerable qualitative research experience.

Chris Sadler

Partner, QPMR

Chris is Research Director (IT Applications) at ORIMA Research. Chris joined ORIMA Research in 1999 after several years as an economic analyst and adviser in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and in the former Commonwealth Department of Employment, Education and Training. He has extensive experience in conducting both quantitative and qualitative research projects for both public and private sector clients.

He specialises in establishing and managing electronic data collection and management systems, data mining and analysis of large-scale data sets.

Craig Young

Partner, QPMR

Craig recently joined ORIMA to head our Strategic Research Division.

Over the past 15 years Craig has held senior research roles within the market research industry, including at NWC Opinion Research (where he managed the company's public sector research practice and was a part owner), Roy Morgan Research (where he was General Manager of the company's Customised Research Department) and ACNielsen (where he worked in the International Research Division).

He has worked as a researcher in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Hong Kong, and as a research buyer and analyst for the Federal Government (Centrelink). Craig's public sector experience includes work for most major Commonwealth and many State Government Departments and he is equally adept at both qualitative and quantitative methods. He has particular expertise in the design, transition and management of large scale and complex studies, including some of the largest research studies conducted in Australia. Craig has specific interest in the following areas:

  • Complex research design
  • Multicultural and indigenous research
  • Health and welfare research
  • Large scale survey deployment
  • Turning business problems and complex data into clear business recommendations

Natalie Arkle

Associate Partner, QPMR

Natalie Arkle joined ORIMA Research in January 2009, after working in evaluation roles in several Australian Government agencies including the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Department of Defence and the Australian Public Service Commission.

Natalie has experience in conducting both qualitative and quantitative research. She specialises in:

  • communications research;
  • client and stakeholder research;
  • program evaluations and reviews;
  • employee surveys; and
  • staff entry and exit surveys.

Kim Sullivan

Senior Research Consultant, QPMR

Kim Sullivan joined ORIMA Research in September 2003.

She is an experienced researcher who specialises in quantitative research projects, including:

  • program evaluations and reviews;
  • client/stakeholder research;
  • community surveys; and
  • employee surveys.

Tyler Forrester

Senior Research Consultant, QPMR

Tyler joined ORIMA Research in January 2003. He has extensive experience across a broad range of quantitative research projects. He specialises in:

  • program evaluations and reviews;
  • client/stakeholder research;
  • community surveys; and
  • employee surveys.

Robert Brickley

Senior Research Consultant

Robert joined ORIMA Research in May 2010. Over the past 10 years Robert has worked widely across the market research industry, including senior roles at NWC Opinion Research and Roy Morgan Research. He also has extensive analytical and research buying experience in the tourism and travel industry, having worked as a research buyer with Tourism Victoria and in a business development role with Melbourne Airport.

He has a demonstrated record of ensuring complex research can be applied to resolve business issues in an array of settings, including marketing, policy, product development and business development. Robert has specific interest in the following areas:

  • Tourism and travel research
  • Design and management of large scale quantitative projects
  • Communications and marketing research
  • Client/ stakeholder research

Ros Lording

Research Consultant

Ros joined ORIMA Research in March 2011. She has previously worked in a range of research, project management and clinical roles in acute and community health, in various State government departments and more recently, at Campbell Research & Consulting.

Ros has a Master in Public Health and a clinical background in social work. She has significant experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and specialises in:

  • Client/stakeholder research
  • Program evaluations and reviews
  • Employee surveys
  • Health and welfare research.

Donna Bonde

Research Consultant

Donna joined the Qualitative Research Division of ORIMA Research in March 2011. Her previous qualitative research experience was gained at Lewers Research and The Leading Edge where she specialised in services, in particular healthcare, finance and banking. She has experience in running focus groups, conducting in-depth interviews, and moderating online forums.

Prior to her foray into social and market research, Donna trained as a Psychologist and was involved in running a 3½ year multi phased post graduate research program designed to help measure public attitudes more reliably and accurately. Currently she holds an Honours Degree in Psychology.

Nathan Franklin

Senior Research Consultant, QPMR

Nathan joined ORIMA Research in January 2008. Prior to joining ORIMA, Nathan worked as a performance analyst for the Australian National Audit Office. He specialises in:

  • managing electronic data collection and management systems;
  • data processing and analysis; and
  • the design and application of IT solutions to research problems.

Ivana Vucic

Research Analyst

Ivana joined ORIMA Research in December 2010, after having worked in London as a Reporting Executive with E-Tabs. Ivana began her research career via the AMSRS Graduate Traineeship Program with NWC Opinion Research, upon completing a Masters of Applied Social Research at Monash University. Ivana possess a varied research perspective, having also worked at the Cancer Council Victoria as a Research Assistant and for the Victorian Farmers Federation as a Research Officer within the Dairy Group. Ivana specialises in:

  • client and stakeholder research;
  • tourism and travel based research;
  • collection, analysis and presentation of both quantitative and qualitative data for the government sector;
  • management of large scale quantitative projects; and
  • conducting complex in-depth interviews and executive-style telephone interviews.

Alison Exner

Research Analyst

Alison joined ORIMA Research as a Research Assistant in May 2006 while completing her Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) at the University of Melbourne. In January 2010 she was promoted to a Research Analyst position. Alison specialises in:

  • program evaluations and reviews;
  • communications research; and
  • client and stakeholder research.

Rebecca Accadia

Research Analyst

Rebecca joined ORIMA Research in January 2009 as an Australian Market and Social Research Society Graduate Trainee. Rebecca has a Masters Degree in Organisational and Industrial Psychology. She has experience in:

  • Client/stakeholder research;
  • Community surveys; and
  • Employee surveys.

Chris Andrade

Operations Manager

Chris joined ORIMA Research in May 2004. He has extensive experience in telephone interviewing, fieldwork management and data processing.

Darryl Dias

Research Analyst

Darryl joined ORIMA Research in October 2009. He has worked as a data processing analyst for several market research companies and has solid experience in data processing and analysis, as well as the use of SurveyCraft and other market research software.

Henry Fitzgerald

Senior Research Consultant

Henry joined ORIMA Research in May 2003 in ORIMA's Operations Division. In August 2007, he was promoted to a Research Assistant position in our Canberra consulting team and in January 2008 he was promoted to a Research Analyst position. Henry has experience in:

  • the design and implementation of telephone survey fieldwork;
  • conducting executive-style and complex in-depth interviews; and
  • analysis and reporting.

Laurin Milsom

Research Analyst

Laurin joined ORIMA Research in March 2010 as a research analyst in the Performance Research Division. She has a Bachelor of Science (Psych.) (Hons.) and is part way through a PhD with the Australian National University in social psychology. Prior to joining ORIMA, Laurin worked as a policy officer for the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations. Laurin specialises in:

  • client/stakeholder research;
  • employee research;
  • questionnaire and research development; and
  • data analysis and reporting.

Rowan Gibson

Research Analyst

Rowan joined ORIMA as a Research Analyst in February 2011, after working as a Researcher for Suncorp Metway in New Zealand. He has a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Marketing from the University of Auckland. Rowan specialises in:

  • the collection, analysis and presentation of both quantitative and qualitative data for both the government and private sectors;
  • client and stakeholder research; and
  • employee surveys.

David Ruffolo

Research Assistant

David joined ORIMA Research in July 2010. David provides support and assistance throughout the research process, and specialises in the analysis, interpretation and reporting of quantitative research results.

Sze Ai Lee

Research Analyst

Sze joined ORIMA Research in August 2009. Sze provides support and assistance to senior researchers throughout the research process and specialises in the analysis, interpretation and reporting of research results.

Cristina Notarpietro-Clarke

Research Assistant

Cristina joined ORIMA Research in January 2011. Prior to joining ORIMA, Cristina worked for the Department of Health and Ageing, in their 2010 Graduate Program. Cristina provides support and assistance to senior researchers throughout the research process and specialises in the analysis, interpretation and reporting of research results. Cristina has experience in client/stakeholder research, community surveys and employee surveys.

Arlene Hendricks

Executive Assistant

Arlene joined ORIMA Research in January 2008. She is the assistant to ORIMA’s two Melbourne-based Directors and is responsible for general administration and the day-to-day running of ORIMA’s Melbourne office.

Sul Soeleiman

Accountant/Senior Bookkeeper

Sul joined ORIMA in August 2008. She is responsible for the financial administrative functions at ORIMA Research, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll and financial performance reporting.

Nicole Taylor

Administration Officer

Nicole joined ORIMA Research in March 2010. Nicole is responsible for general administration and day-to-day running of ORIMA’s Canberra office and also provides assistance with project work to teams within the Canberra office.

Craig Jones

Craig joined ORIMA Research in June 2010. As an Administration Officer based in Melbourne, Craig provides administrative and project management support to the Melbourne Quantitative Research team.
